Soul and Ashie

Soul shivered to her feet a tad to fast as her head swam.  Her thoughts were jumbled together as she slammed her eyes shut

"Hey, look she's up!."  

Her eyes went towards the direction of the sound, but her vision was blurred up and not even comprehend able.  "What? Where am I?  Why can't I see?"  She looked all around at the blank enabled shapes.

The gruff voice spoke out again in a playful tone, "Hey, hey, calm down.  We saved your vision but not much of it.  calm down or you'll rip your stitches open again little miss fuss."  

"Take me out of here, it feels damp and it's cold and makes me feel so," she paused to help find the right word, "enslaved."

The voice smiled "Follow me, there's a place we gotta go."  He turned and accidentally snapped his tail against her jaw, "Shit! I'm sorry, I'm so used to people grabbing it without me having to tell them."

She was dizzy on her feet for a moment before sitting back, "Ouch!" She pawed at the spot she had been hit.  She had spent most of he life easily, Alpha of a pack that was so small it took care of itself.  Her mate did most of the work, she just had to be there for support.
 
"Here," he frowned gently licking the spot he had struck her. "Gosh, I'm so sorry!" The pain surprisingly went away.  

She smiled standing, "Thanks."  He shrugged even though she couldn't see, "Yeah it was my fault anyway."

He took his place as earlier, "Alright, nice and easy now, I promise my tail's clean."

She had to search for a moment before biting the curve of the tail.  He jumped for a moment at her roughness but shrugged it off.  He lead her around for a while before she let go and just walked behind him.

She  tilted her head "Soo, who are you?"

He looked back, "Ashes, caretaker of the Oblivion.  You?"

She smiled, "Soul, Alpha of the Jaja." she pumped out he chest proudly, "And I'm not to bad at it."

He stopped, "Well, yeah I know you're an alpha, your mate told us that."  Dammit, did he just say that?

She smiled happily "My Little Roacky is here?  Yes! Yes! I knew he wouldn't abandon me!"

He continued on, "Yeah well, I'm sure he wants to talk to you!"

She began clawing gently through her fur and flattened it out to make herself look nice, "How do I look?"  She smiled at him.  He smiled falsely and replied "Great! He'll love you!"

"He always does." she smiled as she now skipped behind him.  "How much further?"  He looked back, "Well, it's a long way from the resting dens to the Guest housing. I'm guessing around 20 more minutes."

She smiled "Sounds good!"  They walked quickly until she piped up, "daisies, walking, butterflies all laughing, 'da da da duuhh."

He laughed at her, now that she was looseness up and kinder,he saw how great she was.  

Hell, she was definitely pretty, now she was kind, and she was gentle and balanced.  How long had he been looking for that?  He shook the thoughts from his head, she had a mate and was much to kind to take advantage of.

When they reached the guest den soul felt her sister jump on her and hug her tightly "God, I was so worried!  Don't you ever do that to up again,  got it?"

Soul laughed "Got it spirit, Where's my Roacky?" She smiled real big, but rather then happiness the room filled with silence.  Spirit growled at Ashes, "You didn't tell her!?!"

Ashes defended himself by saying, "It's my job to keep patients happy and stress free!  I'm sorry okay?  She so happy and I couldn't kill that for her!"

Spirit glared at him before putting on a fake smile for her sister, "Listen, sweetie, you where hurt and the pack needs a strong leader, so well, Roak is gone.  With a new mate and, well, he took the whole pack and almost everything you guys had.."

Soul sat down and started at the ground she couldn't even see.  "I...What am I gonna do?"  She started sobbing.  Spirit took her sister into an embrace and rubbed her back gently, "Shh, don't worry, you got the cave, and he did leave you a few members of the pack.  I'll help you with everything you need."

Soul pushed her away, "I don't know how to take care of a pack!  half of my memories are gone and I'm fraking blind,and don't remember why!"

Ashes took her to bed shortly after her breakdown and helped calm her down.  First he washed her up, then brushed out her fur.  Her long beautiful cascading fur.  he shook his head again and she turned to him again.

"Ashes I'm scared.  What will I do when I have to check out?"  

Ashes smiled "Well I'll be there for the first few months you're home to help get you situated.  Plus your sister will help right?" Soul whined, "heh yeah sure, sounds awesome."  

"What if I make you have a breakdown?" She asked Ashes. Ash laughed, "I will never fall apart.  I've already had my big numbers, that's why I got this rank, I know how to get through them and keep a straight character."

He put the brush away and helped her to bed.  "Can't you stay here tonight?"  She whined, "What if I want water or need to wet my nose?"

He rolled his eyes and climbed into bed tonight, "I'm here for help and comfort okay?  I'll be here for you.  I promise."
